Our commitment

Services By HERO is committed to digital accessibility. We work to ensure our website is usable by visitors of all abilities, including those who rely on assistive technologies. We hold ourselves to the same standard online that we hold for the physical facilities we maintain: clean, predictable, and accessible to everyone who needs to use them.

Conformance level

This website is designed to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. WCAG defines requirements that make web content more accessible to people with disabilities including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.

Accessibility features

  • Semantic HTML structure for clear navigation by screen readers
  • Skip-to-main-content link at the top of every page for keyboard users
  • Keyboard-operable navigation, accordions, and forms
  • Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
  • Text contrast ratios meeting or exceeding 4.5:1 for body copy
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images
  • Captioned and labeled videos (background videos are labeled as ambient and contain no dialogue)
  • Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion user preference, which disables non-essential animation
  • Mobile-first responsive design across all device sizes
  • Logical heading hierarchy (H1 to H6) on every page

Known limitations

We are aware that some areas of the site may still present accessibility challenges. We are actively working to address:

  • Some scroll-driven animations and pinned sections may behave differently for keyboard-only users on certain pages. We are refining keyboard navigation paths for these sections.
  • Third-party form submissions (handled by Formspree) follow their accessibility standards, which we have validated meet our minimum requirements but are not under our direct control.
