This Privacy Policy applies to Services By HERO, a California commercial cleaning and facility services operator with offices at 4970 Windplay Dr Ste C2, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762. References in this document to "we," "us," or "our" refer to Services By HERO. References to "you" or "your" refer to the visitor or customer interacting with our website at www.servicesbyhero.com or with our business by phone, email, or in person.

2.1 Information you provide directly

When you request a quote, subscribe to our newsletter, or otherwise contact us, you may provide:

  • Identifiers such as your name, business name, email address, telephone number, mailing address
  • Commercial information about your facility (type, square footage, service requirements, preferred frequency)
  • Communication content (the body of any email, form submission, or message you send)

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

  • Internet activity (IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, dates and times of access, click and scroll behavior)
  • Approximate geographic location derived from IP address
  • Device identifiers such as user-agent strings

This information is used to operate and improve the site, diagnose technical issues, and understand general usage trends. It is not used to identify you personally unless required by law.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information as defined in CPRA, biometric information, or information from children under 16.

  • Business transitions: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or asset transfer, information may be transferred subject to the receiving party honoring the commitments in this policy.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small data files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use cookies sparingly:

  • Strictly necessary: required for the site to function, including remembering your cookie preference itself. These cannot be disabled.
  • Functional (none currently used): would remember preferences such as language or display settings.
  • Analytics (none currently active): would help us understand how the site is used. We do not currently use third-party analytics tools. When we add them, this policy will be updated and a renewed cookie banner will appear.
  • Marketing (none currently used): would track activity across websites to deliver targeted advertising. We do not currently use marketing cookies.

Most browsers allow you to refuse, accept, or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may limit some functionality of this site. The Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal is honored where technically applicable.

6. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights:

  • Right to know: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we have shared it.
  • Right to delete: request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., where retention is required for legal, contractual, or security purposes).
  • Right to correct: request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing: you may direct us not to sell or share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not currently sell or share personal information for these purposes.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: we do not collect sensitive personal information as defined in CPRA.
  • Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

We will verify your identity (typically by matching information you provide against information we already have) and respond within 45 days. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with appropriate authorization.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. Although we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, California residents may submit a request to confirm this preference by contacting us using the methods above.

Notice of financial incentive. We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information.

7. European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Swiss Residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent local laws, including:

Legal bases for processing. We process personal information on one or more of the following legal bases under GDPR Article 6: (a) consent, where freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous; (b) contract, where processing is necessary to take pre-contractual steps or perform a contract; (c) legal obligation, where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law; and (f) legitimate interests, where processing is necessary for our legitimate business interests and not overridden by your rights.

International transfers. Services By HERO is based in the United States. If we receive personal data from individuals in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we transfer it to the United States and rely on appropriate safeguards including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

8. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include encrypted transport (HTTPS / TLS) on the website, access controls on internal systems, vendor security reviews, and ongoing staff training. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.

10. Third-Party Links

Our website may include links to third-party websites (for example, our Google Business Profile, the Shiield partner site, or social media platforms). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any third party before providing them with personal information.
